We’re so excited to be getting married and even more excited to celebrate with the people who’ve been part of our story so far (that’s you).
This site has all the details you’ll need—where to go, what to wear, and what to expect—as we count down to the big day. We hope it answers your questions and maybe even gets you a little bit excited for a day of good food, better company, and possibly one or two surprise moments (we’ve learned not to spoil everything in advance).
Whether you’ve known us from the start or you’re joining our story a little further in, we’re so grateful to have you with us for this next chapter.

Our Story

How We Met

They met at a dinner for a mutual friend—Rawle’s friend, Sherri-Anne’s cousin. So yes, this is technically all her cousin’s fault.
Their first date ended with Rawle driving Sherri-Anne all the way to Princeton, a bold move considering his shuffle playlist had no regard for vibe. A random Disney song came on. They both sang. Neither fled.
Then came a global pandemic, a 700-mile gap, and a tech-nerd solution involving VR headsets. Instead of calling it, they doubled down—with pixelated mini-golf and virtual YouTube dates that somehow worked.
They did three years of long distance while Sherri-Anne got her Masters in Fine Arts. Rawle pretended not to be intimidated.
Eventually, she moved back to Jersey. They went to Paris with his family, he proposed in front of a fountain with an unpronounceable name, and she said yes.
Once upon a dinner party... and every chapter since has made perfect sense.

The Proposal

In the summer of 2024, they went to Paris with Rawle’s family for the Olympics. The original plan: cheer for Team USA, eat croissants irresponsibly, and avoid turning it into a rom-com.
That last part didn’t stick.
Very early one morning, Rawle took Sherri-Anne for a walk through the Jardins des Grands Explorateurs. The idea was for them to “stumble upon” a street musician (planted by Rawle) playing near the Fontaine des Quatre-Parties du Monde, then casually drift closer.
Except: Sherri-Anne refused to approach. She was worried about interrupting. This is classic Sherri-Anne—thoughtful, respectful, and, in this case, almost too polite to get engaged.
Eventually, with a little gentle nudging (and some barely disguised panic on Rawle’s part), they made it to the fountain. He proposed.
She said yes.
And just like that, Paris went from backdrop to milestone.

Arrival & Ceremony Start Time

We kindly ask that all guests be seated by 4:00 PM sharp so we can begin on time.
Please keep in mind: it’s a Friday in New York’s Financial District, which means traffic may be heavier than usual—especially if you’re not staying at the hotel or nearby. We recommend giving yourself some extra time to arrive, just in case.

Transportation Between Venues

The ceremony and reception will take place at two different venues, about a 10–15 minute drive apart in normal traffic.
Shuttles will be available to transport guests from the ceremony to the reception and back again at the end of the evening. You're also welcome to arrange your own transportation if you prefer—rideshare and taxi options are plentiful.

The Beekman Hotel offers valet parking for overnight and event guests:
$95/day for compact and regular-sized vehicles
$110/day for SUVs
Note: Valet retrieval can take up to 45 minutes, so if you’ll need access to your car shortly after the reception, we recommend using the garage option below.
Nearby Garage (More Flexible Option):

St. Jude's Children Research Hospital
Backpacks for Change
Thank you for celebrating with us in all the ways that matter.
